Meet the Team
Dalton Vassallo
Dalton has five years of experience in low-carbon concrete materials research and a strong passion for decarbonization of the built environment. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont (‘23) with hopes of designing tall buildings and long bridges, but his undergraduate Honors College Thesis on carbon sequestration in structural-strength concrete via optimization of hemp stalk content in proprietary mix designs sent him down the path of materials science research. Dalton is currently a fourth-year PhD candidate in Structural Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he applies his expertise to developing next-generation structural materials.
When he’s not in lab, Dalton enjoys cooking, hiking, skiing, and raising his jungle of house plants, and is a struggling but aspiring golfer.
